WATEGO focuses on private company opportunities in Europe, North America and Australia/New Zealand.
We are looking for small to medium size companies (“SME(s)”) with at least USD 1,000,000 in revenues (or the equivalent in local currency) but can make exceptions for interesting or complementary businesses.
We are industry agnostic and can consider SME’s:
- affected by the current market environment (COVID-19, geopolitical landscape, inflation, interest rate rises etc.)
- caught in litigation
- considered “normal” ongoing businesses
- deemed a non-core business (such as corporate spin-off’s/write off’s etc.)
- looking to come under the umbrella of a bigger entity or looking to go public
- representing turnaround/special situations (incl. stressed and/or distressed situations or at risk of insolvency, bankruptcy and/or liquidation)
- struggling to meet increased costs of regulatory compliance or businesses no longer compliant with regulation
- that might have their main sales channel blocked, closed or restricted.
- where business growth has exceeded what the owner can manage
- which are otherwise unsellable or would otherwise just be closed down
- with cash-flow and/or funding problems
- with personal guarantees
- with succession planning issues
Please note: We do not have the above minimum USD 1,000,000 revenue threshold when considering opportunities in Start-up’s, Asset/IP transactions, and Liquidation sales.
